Request data deletion

Last updated: October 5, 2026

You can request deletion of your EmeLearn account and associated personal data.

Support contact: bruhhdesu@gmail.com

Request deletion in the app

  1. Sign in to EmeLearn.
  2. Open Profile & Settings.
  3. Open Privacy Center, or use the Delete account entry in the Danger zone.
  4. Choose the account-deletion option and follow the confirmation steps.
  5. Reauthenticate with your current password or the same Google account used to sign in.

If you cannot access the app

  1. Email bruhhdesu@gmail.com from the email address associated with your EmeLearn account, if available. If you cannot access that address, explain this from an address where support can reply; you do not need to reinstall the app to make a request.
  2. Use the subject “EmeLearn account deletion request”.
  3. State the EmeLearn sign-in method you used. Do not send your password or sign-in codes.
  4. Support may need to verify account ownership before processing the request.

What the request covers

The in-app service removes the Firebase Authentication account after processing the app records linked to that account:

  • Profile/settings, personal safety lists and joined-content shortcuts.
  • Activities you created, including their participant records and private keys; your identified participation/results in other Activities.
  • Your Daily Quiz attempts and daily/weekly ranking entries.
  • Your Lounge messages, Lounge reports filed by or about you, and AI-question reports you filed.
  • Groups you own, including their content; your memberships, authored messages/shared quizzes, hosted live rooms and identified live participation in other groups.

After cloud deletion is confirmed, the app removes that account's local learning data from the device making the request. It retries confirmed pending local cleanup on a later start. Other devices' local data is not remotely erased by this step. Deletion of an EmeLearn account does not delete your Google account.

Security record retained after deletion

After successful account deletion, EmeLearn keeps a minimal security record at accountDeletionStates/{uid}. Your Firebase account identifier (UID) remains only as the document ID. The only application data in the document is {"state":"data-deleted"}, recording that the account's data was deleted.

This record contains no name, email, profile data, quiz content, messages, deletion reason, request ID or timestamp written by EmeLearn. Firestore may retain normal infrastructure/document metadata.

This is a pseudonymous internal security record with restricted backend access. It is not anonymous or public profile data. It prevents delayed, retried, background, maintenance or stale backend operations from recreating data associated with your deleted account.

Retention is currently indefinite for security and service integrity, while this protection remains necessary. EmeLearn has no proven finite point after which every delayed operation or operation with privileged backend access can safely be assumed gone; there is no fixed expiry period for this record.

What else can remain or needs separate handling

  • Original documents/photos outside the app, delivered recovery emails, screenshots and practice copies saved by other learners.
  • Your account identifier in another learner's personal blocklist; the current deletion service does not remove those references. They remain until that learner removes the entry or deletes their account.
  • Hashed password-recovery abuse-control records, which have an expiry target of about one day and are removed by separate scheduled cleanup.
  • Service-provider logs/backups and support correspondence are not all erased by the in-app callable. Contact support for provider-related deletion follow-up or questions about these records.

We do not promise that all copies disappear immediately. Retained information needs a specific purpose, limited scope and clearly stated retention, including the indefinite security record described above. This notice is not a blanket exception for keeping all account data.

Confirmation and timing

Follow the app's completion or recovery message. A timeout or lost connection is not confirmation that deletion succeeded; retry when connected or contact support. Cloud deletion can succeed while local cleanup is still pending. Support requests require ownership checks and any necessary provider follow-up. No fixed completion deadline is promised here; contact support for the status and expected handling of your request.

Clearing local learning data, signing out, leaving a group or uninstalling the app does not delete your cloud account. Expiry of temporary messages/reports is handled by scheduled cleanup and can occur later than the expiry target.
